High quality and powerful cultivation with extreme output capabilities. The NZ Aggressive cultivator is designed for efficient secondary tillage of ploughed seedbeds. NZA is a one-pass solution, capable of transforming the most cloddy and uneven surface into a perfect environment for seed drilling and emergence.

NZA is based on a design that was created by Väderstad a long time ago. It has remained in the product line-up due to its no-nonsense ability for soil cultivation of a huge variety of seedbeds. These machines have been sold around the world in huge numbers as growers realise the potential for such a machine in almost every farming system. Available from 5m up to 10m working width, there is a NZA for every situation.

NZ Aggressive 600-1000
NZA are seedbed cultivators offering superior performance characteristics to farmers who demand the very best on the market. Strong Agrilla-Cobra tines are distributed over 5 rows and with 7.5 cm spacing in a powerful frame construction. The soil tillage effect produced is phenomenal and cultivation is often completed in a single pass.

NZ Aggressive 500ST
NZA ST-models have manual depth adjusters and single wheel on the outer wing sections and are equipped with front Crossboard as standard. NZA T-models have tandem wheels and Master and Slave depth control system and are equipped with front Crossboard as standard. In all other respects, the NZA ST-model, has the same excellent abilities as the larger NZA cultivators with 7,5 cm tine spacing, automatic opening/locking of the wing sections, robust frame in 60x60 mm profile and exceptionally good capacity with Agrilla-Cobra tines.

Expandable
The NZA 700 can easily be expanded to the 800 model and the 900 to 1000 model by bolting the extension sections onto the wing sections, with the Crossboard and following harrow also bolted in place.

Working Zones

Front Crossboard

The front Crossboard levelling board levels and shifts large amounts of soil. It’s depth is controlled from the tractor cab on the move. The connecting rod can be fitted or removed, depending upon the soil condition and cultivation intensity required.

Quick Change System
To further enhance the tilling and crushing effect of the Crossboard levelling board, it can be equipped with sharp blades of toughened steel, called Single-Knife. These blades can be easily adjusted in different positions for the required degree of cultivation. The blades attack a hardened and capped soil and rip out material for the cultivator tines to work on.

Tines

An extra 5 cm in length and its manufacture from special hardened steel in dimensions 10x45mm make the Agrilla-Cobra tine strong and very durable, and give it unique depth holding ability. Increasing the free play clearance and distributing the tines over 5 rows improves penetration and burial of chopped trash.

NZ-Aggressive has a 75mm tine spacing distributed over 5 rows for a thorough and penetrating cultivation of the seedbed. The long cultivator frame, extreme free play clearance of the tines and the 75mm tine spacing means even very light soils with trash on the surface can be cultivated without any problems. The Agrilla-Cobra tines have a very high free play clearance thanks to the perpendicular tine position. The high clearance is invaluable for deep cultivation, e.g. for potato planting, heavy autumn cultivation or seedbed preparation with a lot of trash on the surface.

Rear Crossboard

The optional rear Crossboard is controlled in parallel with the front Crossboard and its working intensity can be pre-set with a crank handle on the telescopic alignment bar.

By fitting rear Crossboard to NZA, the machine is converted into an even more aggressive cultivator. The rear Crossboard enables the operator to give the soil a final levelling pass, after the tines have done their job. This function is useful where a particularly fine seedbed is required or on heavy soil types.

Following Harrow

The following harrow fitted to NZA is a heavy duty device with adjustment of working angle and pressure, ensuring that it can be adapted to a variety of field conditions and finishes.

The following harrow has an ingenious release mechanism allowing it to bend aside when reversing over an obstacle.

Depth Control

With the Master and Slave system, the working depth of the entire cultivator can be horizontally aligned. An effective working depth can be regulated from the central cylinder and the slave cylinders respond with millimetre precision.

Bogey Wheel Cradle

The new large 10.0/75x12 wheels are standard in NZ cultivators from 7 m and upward, and increase carrying capacity by 45% compared to the previous standard wheel. The standard 200x14.5” wheels remain on the NZA 500 and 600.

Rear Drawbar

NZA can be fitted with an optional rear drawbar if desired. When the roller is coupled in behind the cultivator, the number of passes required is reduced and better tillage is obtained with less driving. The roller is recommended for small seed and sugar beet growers. The roller/cultivator combination is surprisingly easy to manoeuvre during turning and transport.
